MIDTOWN — A trio of would-be thieves riding in a Cadillac knocked a man unconscious and tried to rob him in Midtown, the NYPD said.

The 54-year-old victim, from Montauk, told police he was walking across from 148 W. 48th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues, around 4:05 a.m. on July 6 when a driver and two passengers in a maroon Cadillac with a Texas license plate rolled up next to him.

The driver and one of the passengers got out of the vehicle and approached him, with the driver saying, “Give me your f---ing money,” police said.

The passenger went behind the 54-year-old and punched him in the back of the head, knocking him unconscious, the NYPD said.

After the victim fell to the sidewalk, his attackers started rifling through his pockets, a witness told police.

After the witness started shouting, the pair hopped back into the Cadillac and drove east on West 48th Street with the other passenger, the NYPD said.

By the time emergency responders arrived, the 54-year-old was “semi-conscious,” the NYPD said.

He was taken to Mount Sinai West for treatment, police said.

No arrests have been made.
