MANHATTAN — A man and woman were arrested and charged with beating a 75-year-old man unconscious Wednesday outside the Salvation Army on West 14th Street, police said on Thursday.

Deangelo Coleman, 20, punched the man in the head and knocked him to the sidewalk outside 120 W. 14 St. on Wednesday afternoon as Brianna Crusade, 19, acted as a lookout, police said.

Video surveillance captured footage of the unidentified victim being pummeled to the ground by a man in a white shirt carrying a black backpack.

Coleman was charged with assault and Crusade was charged with grand larceny, police said.

The victim, who was knocked unconscious by the punch, suffered a head laceration and was taken to Lenox Hill Hospital in stable condition.
