HARLEM — A man walked into the basement of a Dunkin' Donuts and cracked a safe, stealing more than $1,000, police said.
The thief walked through an unlocked door at the Dunkin' Donuts at 159 E. 116th St. about 5 a.m. Friday, police said.
He went to the basement where the safes are located and used professional tools to crack open a safe, police said.
He left with about $1,067, police said.
Police plan to review video surveillance from the store, according to authorities.
