NEW YORK CITY — New Yorkers itching to try a famous Staten Island pizzeria no longer have to hop on the ferry or a cross a bridge to grab a pie.

Staten Island's Denino's Pizzeria, called the best thin-crust pie in the world by New York Magazine, will open its West Village outpost on Wednesday, with grand opening festivities running until Saturday, the spot announced on Facebook.

The new 93 MacDougal St. spot will have grand opening specials including free alcohol and will serve up its well-know "MOR" — mushroom, onion and ricotta — and "Garbage" pies for lunch and dinner, according to the pizzeria's Facebook page.

The West Village outpost is the third Denino's location — the second opened in 2010 in New Jersey — and the first in the city outside of the Staten Island.

The owners told the Staten Island Advance last year they plan to franchise out their slices, with Florida eyed as their next location.

The original Denino's, at 524 Port Richmond Ave., originally opened in 1937 and is one of the best know pizzerias in the borough.

It has been ranked as one of the best pies in the city by several publications and had nearly an entire chapter dedicated to it in the 2015 novel "Small Mercies."
