STATEN ISLAND — Staten Island Ferry riders have the chance to wear their pride for the borough on their chests.
Official ferry T-shirts are being sold for the first time on board.
The shirts, which cost $15, come in three designs that the Department of Transportation chose to celebrate the service, which shuttles more than 22 million passengers from Staten Island to Manhattan and back every year.
Though there is already ferry-centric attire available — including socks from a Staten Island clothing company — the T-shirts are the first officially sold by the city.
They'll be sold on the Senator John J. Marchi, the Guy V. Molinari and the John F. Kennedy ships, the DOT said.
The DOT said the shirts are the first in a series of officially branded Staten Island Ferry merchandise it plans to launch soon.
