HELL’S KITCHEN — Two dilapidated DeWitt Clinton Park staircases will be repaired and reopened thanks to funding from local elected officials, a city Parks Department spokeswoman said.

A $450,000 allocation from Councilman Corey Johnson and $500,000 from Manhattan Borough President Gale Brewer will go toward revamping the two currently closed staircases on the western end of the park at West 52nd Street between 11th and 12th avenues, said spokeswoman, who noted the project is in "pre-scope phase."

The park staircases were in the running to receive $500,000 in funding during District 3’s participatory budgeting process this year, but didn’t garner enough votes.

“Repairing this entrance will make the park accessible to visitors and easier for children to enter on 12th Avenue,” a ballot posted on Johnson’s website prior to the vote said.

Brewer also allocated funding to a number of other projects in District 3, according to a release from her office:
