MIDTOWN — City Council Speaker Melissa Mark-Viverito’s Twitter account was hacked by someone who posted pornographic photos to it Wednesday evening, a spokeswoman told DNAinfo.
The account appeared to have been taken over by someone calling themselves "Stephanie Robertson" around 7:45 p.m. The hacker changed the speaker's avatar and tweeted both pornographic photos and phrases.
“Her account was hacked,” the spokeswoman said. “We’re aware it was compromised.”
The speaker regained control of the account a little after 8 p.m. and posted a photo showing her obvious displeasure with the hacker.
