BROOKLYN — A man was in stable condition after being shot in the torso five times in Bushwick Monday night, police said.

The 18-year-old, whose name wasn't immediately released, was in a car that drove up to Cooper Street and Wilson Avenue about 10:12 p.m. when he yelled at girl in a nearby crowd, an NYPD spokesman said.

The situation escalated into an argument until someone in the crowd pulled a gun and shot him five times, police said.

He was treated at Brookdale Hospital where he was listed in stable condition Tuesday, police said.
