BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Service at two of Bedford-Stuyvesant’s post offices has drawn the ire of residents, with one calling the Shirley A. Chisholm Station on Fulton Street the “worst post office in America.

Locals expressed their complaints at a recent community board meeting, saying long wait times and misdelivered mail from the Shirley Chisholm location at 1915 Fulton St. and the Brevoort Station at 1205 Atlantic Ave. is making them go postal.

United States Postal Service representatives addressed concerns, saying plans were already in the works to improve service at both stations.

But DNAinfo readers weighed in on their experiences at the Bed-Stuy spots, with many agreeing the service at the Shirley Chisholm location is appalling.

► “This place is the worst…they have nasty attitudes and they move at such a slow pace it’s ridiculous,” commented Neighborhood Square (NSQ) user karim-wiz-edwards.

Others chimed in on bad experiences with workers at the Fulton Street station and long lines.

► “Oh this place is horrible. Last 3 visits waited an hour to pick up a package, and they seem to have no clear and organized systems, most workers are just nasty," user Kiarra83 writes.

Among readers’ complaints were unanswered phone calls and “no customer service skills whatsoever.”

► “This post office should’ve been closed 20 years ago,” commented NSQ user MsTrixi11233.

Others said problems extended to other post offices, including the St. Johns Station in Crown Heights, the Ridgewood post office on Myrtle Avenue and the Williamsburg location on Debevoise Street.

► “The post office on St Johns should be on the top of the list. This place needs to shut down so all employees can get reinstructed in customer service and the proper way to handle packages for customer pick up. No one should stand in line for 45 min to pick up a package,” said one NSQ user.
