MANHATTAN — A man who randomly shoved a bag of feces down a woman's pants on Monday, had thrown feces at another woman's face just hours earlier, police said.

The man came up behind a 27-year-old woman walking on 74th Street near First Avenue at about 6 p.m., grabbed her waist, pushed the bag of feces into her pants and smeared it onto her butt, NYPD officials said.

The incident was captured in a surveillance video released by police Wednesday, and after the attack, the man appears to take off a pair of latex gloves and flee the scene.

Just hours earlier, at about 4:25 p.m., the same suspect hurled poop at a 33-year-old woman, hitting her face and torso, in front of 67 E. 91st St., police said. He fled the scene toward Park Avenue, according to authorities.

The last attack was heard by the owner of salon nearby. Boris Borukhov, who owns Boris Salon, located on the same block, said he heard the woman's screams while he was cutting a customer's hair on Monday.

Another neighbor, Linda Kim, who owns Best Health Gourmet Deli with her mom, said she was surprised no one helped the woman.

"For people to walk by and not do anything is pretty bad," Kim said. "It's pretty quiet here, but anywhere is not safe."

The suspect is about 40, standing about 6 feet tall and weighing 200 pounds, police said.

It's not clear why the man attacked her, but police believe she was targeted at random.

Anyone with information should contact Crime Stoppers at (800) 577-TIPS (8477).
