RANDALL'S ISLAND — Three probationary firefighters were injured during a training exercise at the FDNY academy Wednesday morning, an FDNY spokesman said.

The trio was hurt about 10:15 a.m. at the FDNY Fire Academy on the East River island, an FDNY spokesman said. Two of them were taken to Metropolitan Hospital where they were treated for injuries that weren't considered life-threatening, officials said.

The third person refused medical attention at the scene.

An FDNY spokesman did not describe the injuries in detail or explain what led to the injuries.
