BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — A real estate agent was found dead inside her Brooklyn apartment Tuesday night, police said.

The 51-year-old woman, whose name wasn't immediately released, was discovered by her boyfriend, 57, inside a third-floor apartment at 1018 Bedford Ave., near Kosciuszko Street, just before 10 p.m., an NYPD spokesman said.

She was found lying in bed and had bruises on her left arm, according to authorities. A law enforcement source also told DNAinfo New York that there was blood on the walls of the apartment.

The woman's boyfriend, who sources said had a black eye when officers arrived, called 911 and the woman was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.

The city's medical examiner will determine her cause of death, police said.

It wasn't immediately clear if any criminality was involved.

Neighbors said the woman, who worked in real estate, and her boyfriend were fun-loving and liked to bike, and kayak.

"She always seemed happy, going to work, going to the gym," said a woman who lived nearby but wouldn't give her last name, Rita, 62.

"[She had] a beautiful voice," Rita added.

The neighbor said the woman had a happy relationship with her boyfriend.

"I've never seen them arguing," Rita said.

"He always looked out for her. I wish I had a man like him," she added.
