BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police released photos of a suspected gunman wanted for a fatal shooting in Bedford-Stuyvesant.
Robert Thomas, 46, was shot in the head, chest and his extremities on MacDougal Street near Thomas S Boyland Street on June 15, officials said.
The NYPD released surveillance photos of a man seen running westbound on MacDougal Street. He fled in a red, four-door sedan.
The suspect — believed to be the gunman, according to an NYPD spokesman — is described as having a slim build and was seen wearing a fisherman’s hat, long-sleeved shirt and dark pants.
Officials have charged another man, 38-year-old Derrick Nivens, in connection with the murder.
Nivens drove the gunman near MacDougal and Thomas S Boyland streets where the other suspect fired a number of shots at Thomas, detectives said.
Nivens waited for the shooter in the car, officials said, and drove away with him.
A third individual is also being sought in connection with the incident, police said.
Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
