HELL’S KITCHEN — A bargoer was sexually assaulted and left at a bus stop by a man who knocked him unconscious using a "popper," the NYPD said.
The 25-year-old victim told police he had just left Boxers Sports Bar at 742 Ninth Ave., at the corner of West 50th Street, around 2:30 a.m. Sunday and was walking toward Times Square along West 50th Street when a man he didn’t know grabbed him and placed the popular club drug in front of his face, knocking him out.
“Hey, come here,” the man said before grabbing him, the NYPD said.
When the 25-year-old woke up, the man was sexually assaulting him in a vehicle parked at an unknown location, police said.
The victim's next memory was of waking up at a bus stop “somewhere on 110th Street,” the NYPD said.
He checked into Wyckoff Heights Medical Center in Brooklyn following the incident, police said.
A Boxers Sports Bar manager did not immediately respond to a request for comment Monday.
