A 30-year-old resident living in a building near the corner of West 47th Street and Ninth Avenue told police he left his apartment around noon on June 13 to go shopping, locking the front door behind him.

When he returned to the building around 8 p.m., his front door was unlocked and a number of his belongings were missing, including the Gucci lighter, the Hermes playing cards and the pricey Thom Browne bag, the NYPD said.

Also missing was a $2,000 Thom Browne wallet, a $1,000 zipper pouch, a $200 Hermes keychain, $400 in cash, a $900 computer charger and a $500 suitcase, police said.

In addition, the resident lost $100 Adidas sneakers, a social security card, an insurance card, a passport, personal documents, $1,000 in medications, a $700 iPad, a $40 bottle of whiskey, three check books, a $900 iPad case, a $200 toiletry bag and a $20 iPhone charger, the NYPD said.

Police could not say how the thief or thieves, who made off with $12,160 worth of belongings, entered the apartment.
