FORT GEORGE — Police released a sketch of the suspect in a violent rape that happened in a Fort George Park in May.

A 42-year-old woman was walking in Gorman Park on May 17 at around 7:30 p.m. when a man approached her, police said.

He forced her off the park's concrete path and pushed her to the ground, where he proceeded to hold a knife to the woman's throat and rape her, NYPD officials said.

The victim went to the hospital two days later, but refused a test kit, police said. She reported the incident on Monday, June 20.

Police said the man is about 35 years old, approximately 6-foot-3, approximately 260 pounds and has a beard.
