CROWN HEIGHTS — Dollar oysters, banh mi hot dogs and lots of rum drinks are on the menu at a new bar on Nostrand Avenue with a “Tiki theme,” its co-owner said.

The Super Power bar is officially open at 722 Nostrand Ave. in Crown Heights after a soft opening two weeks ago, said co-owner Hunter Fradkin, an alum of Washington Avenue’s Bearded Lady and the Gowanus Yacht Club.

Fradkin and his partners are serving up a full menu of drinks, with a specialty $10 cocktail menu including a “Frozen Tiki White Russian” with Jamaican rum, Trinidadian Amaro, coconut cream and coffee, a “Jonn the Beachcomber” with three kinds of rums, allspice, grenadine and fresh pineapple and lime juice or the “Sranan Song” (rye, bitters, almond orgeat and lemon juice).

Super Power also has sangria on tap, Fradkin said, wine, beer and fresh squeezed fruit juices. The bar also has a dollar oyster happy hour from 5 to 8 p.m. on weekdays; snacks at the bar include a pulled pork sandwich for $7 and banh mi hot dogs for $5 each.

The new spot is open at 5 p.m. Monday through Friday and at 2 p.m. on Saturday and Sunday, closing at 4 a.m. every day.
