CONCOURSE — Bronxites will have a new location to pick up their municipal IDs very soon.

A pop-up IDNYC enrollment center will launch at Spring Bank in the South Bronx at 10 a.m. on June 23 and stay open until July 8.

The center will be open in the bank's branch at 69 E. 167th St. from 10 a.m. until 6 p.m. Mondays through Fridays.

This will be the fourth IDNYC center in The Bronx, joining locations at the Bronx Business Center on Third Avenue, the Bronx Library Center on E. Kingsbridge Road and Lincoln Hospital on E. 149th Street.

The city extended the deadline to apply for the municipal ID for free until the end of 2016.

New Yorkers with the ID are eligible for free one-year memberships at several institutions in the city, including the Bronx Museum of the Arts and the New York Botanical Garden, and it is accepted as the primary form of identification at 12 New York financial institutions, including Spring Bank.

They can get discounts on movie tickets, Broadway shows and sporting events as well.

The identification card is free and open to any resident of the city who is 14 years or older, and the city will not ask applicants about their immigration status.

Bronxites can set up an enrollment appointment by calling 311 or going to www.nyc.gov/idnyc.
