COLUMBUS CIRCLE — A subway dancer threw a bottle of water into a train car — hitting a woman in the head — after getting into an argument with a different passenger, the NYPD said.
A 27-year-old woman from New Jersey told police she’d just gotten on a southbound D train at the Columbus Circle station around 4:04 p.m. on June 18 when she noticed someone on the train was having a dispute with a group of performers.
As the train doors closed, a subway dancer standing on the train platform hurled a full bottle of water into the train from the platform, hitting the 27-year-old in the ear and head, the NYPD said.
The woman was left with ringing ears and redness to her head, police said.
She got off the train at the Seventh Avenue station, the NYPD said.
Police searched for the dancers but failed to find them, the NYPD said.
