MIDTOWN — A Puerto Rican Day Parade-goer hit another attendee in the head with a wooden flagpole after the two got into an argument, police said.

A 22-year-old woman told police she was at the northeast corner of East 51st Street and Fifth Avenue around 2 p.m. on June 12 when she got into an argument with a female parade-goer.

As the argument escalated, the woman struck the 22-year-old victim in the head with a wooden flagpole several times, the NYPD said.

The 22-year-old suffered head contusions and dizziness and was taken to the hospital, police said.

Police had not arrested anyone in connection with the incident as of Monday.
