LONGWOOD — A teenager from Pennsylvania was shot and killed in the South Bronx in the midst of a violent weekend in the borough.

Elwin Coste, 17, was in front of 1041 Tiffany St. on Saturday around 3:30 a.m. Saturday with a 21-year-old man when two other men came up to them and started chatting, according to the NYPD.

One of the men took out a gun and fired multiple times at both victims before both suspects fled the scene northbound on Tiffany Street, police said.

Coste and the 21-year-old were both taken to Lincoln Hospital where Coste, who was visiting the borough from his home in Harrisburg, Pa., died from his injuries. The 21-year-old is in critical condition, according to the NYPD.

Officers described one suspect as a man last seen wearing a light colored hooded sweater with an Adidas logo on its sleeve and chest and the other as a man last seen in a blue shirt with a red patch on its sleeve.

Also in The Bronx this weekend, police said Kedwin Valerio, 25, and Carl Ducasse, 17, were killed. Police said 39-year-old Michael Rhone died in a car crash.
