ROOSEVELT ISLAND — The FDR Four Freedoms Park Conservancy has kicked off a photography contest that offers a $500 Adorama camera store gift certificate to the winner.

The photo contest runs now through Oct. 15 and must be a shot of the Four Freedoms Park, the Conservancy says.

Photographers can enter as many photos as they like but all entries must be submitted online and by the person who took them, the rules state.

The top six entries will get a year-long membership to the Conservancy, which means free participation in health and wellness classes and a 10 percent discount on park merchandise, among other benefits.

Previous winners include photographer Paul Jung in 2014 and Masha Drozdov in 2015.

Opened in 2012, the FDR Four Freedoms Park was designed by architect Louis Kahn to pay tribute to President Franklin D. Roosevelt and the four human freedoms — freedom of expression, freedom of worship, freedom from want and freedom from fear — as outlined in his 1941 speech.

The park combines monolithic forms of ancient Egypt and Greece and minimalism — inspirations that can be seen in its triangular central lawn, granite columns and a sculpture of FDR himself.
