ASTORIA — A pair of thieves robbed a man at gunpoint in Queens last month, then tried to use his credit card to shop at a nearby grocery store, according to the NYPD.

The suspects, a man and a woman, pulled a gun on a 28-year-old man on 27th Avenue near 4th Street shortly after midnight on May 22, and stole his wallet and iPhone, police said.

Then they tried to use the victim's stolen credit card to buy groceries at the Trade Fair Supermarket on 30th Avenue and 30th Street, but where unsuccessful, according to police.

The duo was caught on surveillance video in the grocery store checkout line. The man is wearing a baseball hat and white zip-up jacket and the woman is wearing a gray hoodie, according to the footage.

Anyone with information is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
