MIDTOWN — A caller claiming to have links to ISIS threatened to kill employees and patrons at a Theater District restaurant Sunday — just hours after a gunman fatally shot dozens of people inside an Orlando nightclub, police said.
“I have sworn allegiance to ISIS. I am going to come kill you all now,” a caller told an employee at Lillie’s Victorian Establishment at 249 W. 49th St., between Broadway and Eighth Avenue at 12:45 p.m. Sunday, according to police.
The staffer noted the person dialed the Victorian-themed bar and restaurant twice, police said.
The call came shortly after police say Orlando gunman Omar Mateen pledged allegiance to the Islamic State before gunning down 49 people at a gay nightclub, marking the deadliest mass shooting in American history. Mateen was killed by authorities.
Lillie's manager was not available for comment Monday morning. An employee working at the restaurant said she heard about the call but couldn't comment further.
There have been no arrests.
