HARLEM — At ACP Coffee there’s art on the walls — and in your drink.

The shop on 135th Street at Adam Clayton Powell Jr. Boulevard, is holding a grand opening Friday, tapping into the local art scene featuring work by Harlem artist Carter Thompson and handcrafted latte art, patterns and designs created with steamed milk.

The café, like the street, is named in honor of civil rights icon Adam Clayton Powell.

The art featured by Thompson draws inspiration from the Harlem Renaissance.

The shop also has select baked goods to pair with the tailored coffee.

The shop will hold a reception Friday night from 5:30 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. with Thompson for its grand opening.

The shop is open 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekdays and 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. on weekends.
