WASHINGTON HEIGHTS – Police are searching for a man who randomly slashed a 54-year-old man inside a Washington Heights restaurant.
The man approached the victim Sunday, June 5 at approximately 3:50 p.m. inside 67 Restaurant on 366 Audubon Ave., and engaged him in conversation, police said. He then pulled out a knife, slashed the man on the left arm and fled the scene. Police said the incident appeared to be random.
The victim was treated at Columbia Presbyterian Hospital and released, officials said.
The man is described as being approximately 5-foot-6 and weighing 125 lbs. He was wearing a green hoodie with the letters GSRD across the chest.
