TRIBECA —  A 60-year-old livery cab driver was attacked by a man who then stole his car, and ended up hitting another driver, police said.

The cab driver was repeatedly punched by 25-year-old Brandon Lewis, causing the victim to fall to the ground, according to police. Lewis pounced on the driver at about 4:40 p.m., as the man was pulled over at West and Vesey streets, police said.

When the victim fell, Lewis drove off with the car. About an hour later, the 25-year-old Brooklyn man was arrested after he rear-ended a car at West Third Street and LaGuardia Place with the stolen livery cab.

Police said Lewis tried to flee the scene, and when he was arrested he gave them several names that were not his, including Robotic Hand, Chris Davidson and Janny Sacchetti.

Lewis's charges include robbery, grand larceny, assault, leaving the scene of an accident, false impersonation and driving without a license.

He's being held on $5,000 bail.

A call to his lawyer was not immediately returned.
