VIDEO: Man Wanted for Trying to Rape Woman in Bronx Apartment Building

THE BRONX — Police released video of a man wanted for trying to rape a woman in Concourse Village on Wednesday.

The suspect pulled down his pants and grabbed the buttocks of a 33-year-old woman he met in the elevator of a residential building near the corner of East 162nd Street and Sheraton Avenue at approximately 10:15 p.m. on June 8, police said.

The suspect tried to pull the victim away from her door but fled when another person arrived at the apartment’s entrance, police said.

Police said surveillance video shows that the suspect stands at 5-foot-8, weighs approximately 160 pounds and wore a striped hooded sweatshirt and gray sweatpants at the time.
