MIDTOWN — A towering Hard Rock Hotel that will let guests order guitars to their rooms is slated to open in 2019.

Hard Rock International will build the 445-room hotel on West 48th St., between Sixth and Seventh avenues, with construction slated to begin this year, the company said in a release.

“We’re both proud and eager to showcase the Hard Rock Hotels experience in New York City, a destination whose spirit and limitless energy aligns perfectly with our brand,” CEO Hamish Dodds said in a statement.

The Extell Development site at 159 W. 48th St. is currently home to a seven-story garage, according to the New York Post.

The hotel will hold live music events and feature music memorabilia on its walls, the release noted.

Guests interested in having an “impromptu jam session” will be able to rent guitars and DJ equipment to their rooms, the release said.

The hotel's lobby will include a Hard Rock Cafe, a lounge and a bar, while the rooftop will host DJs and live music.

The hotel will also feature a spa, a workout facility and a merchandise shop.

Permits to demolish the garage were filed this past February, YIMBY reported.
