MEATPACKING DISTRICT — The latest installation in the Whitney Museum's outdoor art series displayed on the façade of 95 Horatio St. will feature a billboard with an Nokia phone depicting a portrait of Anne Frank.

The work is entitled Blue Portrait (Nokia N82) and is by Los Angeles–based photographer Torbjørn Rødland.

It will be unveiled on June 7, according to an announcement by the museum.

"While often using images and objects from history and politics, Rødland insists on the openness of meaning in the photographic image," museum officials wrote in the announcement. "His approach is part intuitive and part intellectual, inviting personal and individual interpretations of material resonating with broader cultural meanings."
