CLAREMONT — A pair of would-be Bronx robbers forced their way into a woman’s apartment and waved a gun at her before fleeing empty-handed, police said.

The crime took place on May 4 around 1:45 a.m. inside an apartment building by Longfellow Avenue and East 174th Street, where the two suspects were waiting for their 26-year-old victim to open her apartment door, according to the NYPD.

Once she did open the door, the suspects forced their way in, and one of them brandished a handgun, police said.

Both suspects fled without stealing anything after the victim yelled for help, according to the NYPD.

Officers described one suspect as a man between 40 and 45 years old who stands about 6 feet 2 inches tall and was last seen in a blue hooded sweater, blue and white sneakers, a light colored baseball hat and blue jeans.

They described the second suspect as a man wearing blue jeans and a light colored hooded sweater.

Video of the suspects shows them walking through a door and down a hallway.
