National Doughnut Day is June 3 this year and a lot of doughnut shops have a bunch of giveaways and special doughnuts on offer (like the Walter White Crystal Methadonuts from Clinton Hall). This decadent doughnut shop has partnered with Seamless to give anyone who orders via the Seamless website two half dozen assortment boxes for the price of one. Delivery will be available outside of the shops' usual areas, so more customers will have a shot at enjoying two boxes of doughnuts.
► Doughnut Plant, Multiple Locations
Anyone who buys a donut at Doughnut Plant on Friday will also get a carnival sprinkles mini cake doughnut for free. The website does warn patrons that this is only while supplies last, so doughnut lovers should head over to the shop as early as they can.
► Cinnamon Snail, The Pennsy 2 Pennsylvania Ave., Hell's Kitchen
In honor of National Doughnut Day, the Cinnamon Snail promises to have some "special" selections for customers. They urged anyone who wanted a large order of donuts Friday to contact their catering manager at catering@cinnamonsnail.com.
► Entenmanns, Union Square Park
This well known national brand is partnering with the Salvation Army to hand out free doughnuts and coffee at Union Square Park from 7 a.m. to 1 p.m. Anyone who goes will also have a chance to be entered in their sweepstakes for free doughnuts for an entire year.
► Dun-Well Doughnuts, 22 Montrose Ave., Bushwick
This vegan doughnut shop will ensure that anyone who steers clear of dairy and eggs can still have fun on National Doughnut Day. They will be handing out free small cake doughnuts with the purchase of an espresso.
