BEDFORD-STUYVESANT — Police are searching for two teens girls who they say assaulted an elderly woman at a Bedford-Stuyvesant subway station.

The teens were aboard a southbound C train with the 78-year-old victim around 3:30 p.m. on June 2, when the woman asked one of them to move her feet so she could sit down, sources said.

After getting off the train at Franklin Avenue, the suspects punched and kicked the woman in her face, head and body, according to police.

The girls, who police say are approximately 17 years-old, fled the station on a southbound train.

The victim was taken to an area hospital in stable condition, officials said.

One of the suspects is described as about 5-feet-7-inches tall and was last seen wearing a light-blue dress shirt, dark undershirt, white jeans and white sneakers. The second teen is around 5-feet-6-inches tall, police said, and was wearing a white T-shirt, black sweatpants and black sneakers.
