ST. GEORGE — A woman had her credit card stolen from inside her backpack while riding the Staten Island Ferry, police said.

The 21-year-old victim was riding the ferry on April 4 when a woman took the wallet, the NYPD said.

The suspect later used the credit card to buy food in the McDonald's restaurant at 501 Bay St., police said.

Police described the suspect as a woman in her 30s with black hair. She was last seen wearing a black jacket and a silver v-neck sweater with a black shirt underneath.

Anyone with information in regards to this incident is asked to call the NYPD's Crime Stoppers Hotline at 1-800-577-TIPS (8477).
