LOWER EAST SIDE — Police arrested a disgruntled former employee of Jamaican restaurant Spur Tree after he allegedly began wreaking havoc in the restaurant upon being fired on May 22.

The 23-year-old worker was fired at around 9:30 p.m. while working a shift at the Orchard Street eatery, according to a police report.

In response to the bad news, the worker began flipping tables, breaking plates, and threatening other employees, according to authorities.

He then said, “What, you the problem,” before leaving the restaurant and fleeing westbound on Grand Street, police said.

After his former boss reported the incident to police, he was arrested the next day in front of West Village bar and pool hall Fat Cat at around 12:39 a.m.

He is being charged with criminal mischief and is due back in court on Aug. 1, according to court records.

The man's lawyer did not return a request for comment.
