WILLIAMSBURG — A man smacked his 16-year-old relative with a scooter across the face, left the scene then returned and shot a gun into the ground, according to police.

The 45-year-old man was arguing with the boy outside their Stagg Street home in the Williamsburg Houses public housing complex on May 23 about 10 p.m. when the fight turned physical, according to the NYPD.

The man whacked the 16-year-old with a scooter across the head, leaving the boy bruised and in pain, police said.

Though the fight dissipated and he left the area, the man returned about 30 minutes later and fired a bullet into the ground with a sliver gun, police said.

The man hadn't been arrested as of Wednesday, police said.

Administration for Children's Services was alerted to the situation, police said. ACS didn't immediately return a request for comment.
