RANDALL'S ISLAND — The MTA is laying on extra bus service to this weekend's sold out Governors Ball Music Festival on Randall’s Island.

The agency announced a special X80 express bus will run from the 125 Street-Lexington Avenue station, beginning June 3 through June 5 for those attending the festival, which begins at noon each day.

The X80 will operate from 11 a.m. to midnight, running about every five minutes during the event.

The fare will be $6.50, or $3.75 for those transferring from the subway at 125 Street-Lexington Avenue.

Monthly MetroCards will not work on the X80 bus. Customers should have a pay-per-ride MetroCard or use exact change, the agency said.

To accommodate the expected rush at the end of the concerts, no fares will be collected leaving the island, the agency said.

The normal M35 to and from Randall's Island will also be available.

For up-to-date travel information, customers should check the MTA website at www.mta.info.
