Studio Apartments for $494 Coming Up for Grabs in Mott Haven

MOTT HAVEN —Sixty-five new affordable apartments are becoming available in Mott Haven, with prices starting as low as $494 for a studio.

The apartments are located at 463 and 469 E. 147th St., with three studios available for $494 a month and four available for $788 a month.

Seven one-bedrooms are available as well for $532, while 29 more are available for $847 per month.

There are also 21 two-bedroom apartments up for grabs—four for $647 per month and 17 for $1,025 per month—and one three-bedroom apartment available for $1,182 per month.

The apartments are available for households making between $18,275 and $63,060 per year.

The project is being built through the Department of Housing Preservation and Development's Low Income Housing Tax Credit Program and its Low Income Rental Program, and a percentage of units will be set aside for people who live within the border of Bronx Community Board 1, municipal employees and people with mobile, visual or hearing disabilities.

Applications for units open on June 2, and they must be turned in by Aug. 1.

Prospective tenants can apply online at nyc.gov/housingconnect or send a self-addressed envelope to Brook Avenue Apartments c/o Yuco Management, Inc., 200 Park Ave., 11th Floor, New York, NY 10166.

Applicants will be selected via lottery after the application deadline.
