EAST WILLIAMSBURG — Two men were shot Wednesday morning in a fight near the Cooper Park houses, police and witnesses said.

The men, 19 and 20, were in a courtyard of 290 Frost St., near Kingsland Avenue, about 1:29 a.m. when a fight broke out and someone began shooting, an NYPD spokesman said.

"It was a lot, maybe five or six shots," said Irene Nazario, 61, who was awakened by the gunfire.

The 19-year-old was hit in the right leg while the 20-year-old was hit in the torso, police said.

They were treated at Bellevue Hospital where they're listed in stable condition, police said.

There were no immediate arrests and it wasn't immediately clear what the initial dispute was about, police said.

Police said the two aren't cooperating with their investigation.

Nazario said she feared the warm weather would bring more violence.

"Summer is coming and people are going crazy," she said.
