CHINATOWN — Tiger Beer is offering a unique deal at its upcoming Canal Street pop-up shop — grab a coaster at a nearby bar, then trade it in for a unique art print or a pair of sneakers.

The beer company is taking over a dollar store at 343 Canal St. on June 7 and 8 from 6 to 9 p.m., transforming it into “the most exclusive Asian dollar store Chinatown has ever seen” to showcase art, fashion and technology from a handful of Asian designers.

For two nights only, the space will become an indoor market hawking free wares from participating designers while serving up street food and beer for browsers.

Shoppers can grab one of the hundreds of items on display — including a bamboo bike from Vietnamese designer Meekong++ and a pair of leather sneakers from Singaporean designer Square Street — simply by handing in a “special entry coaster” currently available at participating bars and restaurants, such as Pizza Beach at 167 Orchard St. and Tropical 128 at 128 Elizabeth St.

Visitors will be able to dine on dumplings from local Chinese joint Mimi Cheng’s — which is also handing out the coasters prior to the pop-up — and edible goods from several visiting chefs. The food will be free, organizers said.
