Electric Bicycle Stolen in South Bronx, Police Say

MOTT HAVEN — A man had his electronic bicycle stolen from him in the South Bronx while he was inside a Rite Check, police said.

The theft happened on May 2 around 9:40 a.m., when a 34-year-old man parked his electric bike outside of the Rite Check at 426 E. 138th St., according to the NYPD.

The victim entered the Rite Check, and when he came back outside, his bicycle was gone, police said.

Officers described the suspect as a man in blue jeans, black sneakers, and a black and gray T-shirt who was carrying an orange bag.

Surveillance footage shows him walking down the sidewalk.
