LOWER EAST SIDE — In anticipation of their forthcoming EP, The Strokes will kick off a weeklong pop-up shop at 350 Bowery on Memorial Day.
The “curated” store will be open May 30 through June 5, noon to 9 p.m., and will also host a midnight release of the band’s EP “Future Present Past” on June 3, featuring special guests DJs that will be announced soon, as first reported by NME.
The New York-based garage-rock band released all four songs from the EP on Spotify on Thursday. The record is slated for an official June 3 release in 10-inch vinyl through Cult Records, and is now available for preorder.
Meanwhile, The Strokes are gearing up for a handful of local performances to take place during the pop-up’s run. The band is slated to headline the Governors Ball music festival on Randall’s Island on June 3, and will hold a warm-up show on May 31 at the historic Capitol Theatre in Port Chester, New York.
