INWOOD — A man was randomly slashed from his ear to his mouth as he stepped out of a neighborhood building Friday morning, police said.

The 46-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, stepped out near Broadway and Dyckman Street about 3 a.m. when two men came up and slashed him, an NYPD spokesman said.

They fled into a nearby subway station and weren't immediately arrested, police said.

The victim was treated at Columbia University Medical Center, where he's listed in stable condition, police said.
