76-Year-Old Man Robbed in His Apartment for Third Time in Past Year: NYPD

LOWER EAST SIDE – Two men shoved an elderly man to the ground as he was leaving his apartment, then snatched his money before fleeing — in the third such attack in the past seven months, police said.

The 76-year-old victim was leaving his apartment at 110 Baruch Drive at around 8 a.m. May 21 when the two suspects shoved him back inside and pushed him onto the ground, according to authorities.

The suspects then snatched the man's wallet from his pocket and took $100 in cash, according to a police report.

The victim's daughter, who reported the incident, followed the duo as they fled into a connecting building at 100 Pitt St., police said.

The victim sustained a scratch to the right side of his nose during the altercation, police said.

The man has been the victim of three similar incidents since October of last year, all in the same location, according to a police report.
