SOUNDVIEW — Bronxites looking to learn more about a new ferry service that would take residents from the neighborhood to the Upper East Side and Wall Street can do so at a meeting on Wednesday evening.

The city's Economic Development Corporation will host a public hearing on the upcoming Citywide Ferry service at 6 p.m. at P.S. 47 John Randolph, located at E. 172nd St. and St. Lawrence Avenue.

The city is planning a total of five new ferry routes, and the fare will be $2.75, according to the EDC.

The Bronx route is planned for 2018 and will start in Soundview before making stops at East 90th Street, East 62nd Street and Wall Street/Pier 11. The ride would take roughly 43 minutes from start to finish, according to the EDC.

People who cannot attend tonight's meeting can still email written comments to citywideferryeis@edc.nyc or mail them to EDC Assistant Vice President Dina Rybak at 110 William St. by 5 p.m. on June 5.
