HELL'S KITCHEN — The Ninth Avenue outpost of cheap hot-dog joint Papaya Dog has closed, staff said.

The space at 578 Ninth Ave., at the corner of West 42nd Street, was cleared out on Monday afternoon following a report of employees “ripping the place up overnight” Sunday, according to Jeremiah’s Vanishing New York.

An employee at the Papaya Dog at 333 Sixth Ave. in the West Village — one of only three now left in the city — said the Ninth Avenue location's 10-year lease recently expired and was not renewed.

“The lease is finished,” said the employee, who declined to provide his name. “That’s it, close[d].”

The West Village outpost was also threatened with closure after the property was sold back in 2013.
