THE BRONX — A Queens man was killed Sunday night after slamming his motorcycle into the back of a car on the Major Deegan Expressway, police said.

Herbert Smith, 24, was riding his BMW motorcycle south on the expressway when he crashed into a 2010 Nissan Altima near West Fordham Road about 8:15 p.m., the NYPD said.

Smith, of Kew Gardens, was thrown to the ground and suffered severe body trauma. He was taken to Lincoln Hospital, where he died, police said.

The driver of the Altima remained on the scene and was not charged.
