CHELSEA — A man was shot multiple times as he sat in a red Bentley outside a Seventh Avenue restaurant during a drive-by shooting, police said.

The 27-year-old victim was struck in the back and shoulder as he sat in the pricey car outside the restaurant Cafeteria, near 17th Street, about 5:40 a.m. Sunday, police said.

The gunman, who may have been driving a gray vehicle, fled the scene and was still at large as of Monday morning, police said.

The victim was taken to Bellevue Hospital in stable condition.

Police are investigating the motive behind the shooting.

A person answering the phone at Cafeteria declined to comment.
