MARINERS HARBOR — A man fled police after they spotted him wheeling around a woman's corpse on a metal dolly Friday morning, the NYPD said.
Officers responded to a 911 report of a man wheeling around a body in Mariners Harbor at about 7:10 a.m., police said.
When they arrived, police spotted Anthony Lopez, 31, who ditched the body in front of 42 Post Lane and ran away from officers, they said.
EMS workers responded and pronounced the woman dead at the scene.
The woman's name is being withheld until family notification and the medical examiner will determine her cause of death, police said.
