THE BRONX — A man was stabbed in the stomach by a would-be mugger in Claremont Village Thursday morning, police said.
The 51-year-old man, whose name wasn't immediately released, was at 1687 Hoe Ave., near East 173rd Street, about 3:30 a.m. when three men in dark hoodies pulled a knife on him, an NYPD spokesman said.
They stabbed him in the stomach and fled the scene empty-handed, the spokesman added.
He was treated at St. Barnabas Hospital, where he's listed in stable condition, police said.
There were no immediate arrests, police said.
